Australian Aboriginal Culture & Didgeridoo News and Articles:
In honour and respect of Maxine Fumigalli.
Maxine was born in the rural Western Australian town of Wagin, the daughter of Violet and Elijah Jones.
She had a deep love for the land and the people of the South West and had a vital interest in promoting local
Noongar culture and heritage. She assisted the WA Museum to locate many very important Aboriginal sites in Denmark (south West-Australia).
Since opening a shop and studio there, Maxine was able to assist other Aboriginal artists with marketing their work.
Kerry, our artist in residence at Wandoo Didgeridoo and our special friend, would like to take this opportunity to remember
and thank Maxine for sharing her experience and knowledge and passing on the Bungarra (Kanda) Dream story to be shared
with her family and you.
